Radio 1's Hackney Weekend

Hi there :)

So yesterday me and Vanese went to Hackney Weekend and it was just amazing.
I'm sure most people watched it on TV and online and could see just how amazing it was.

I remember when I was younger and I would say that I always wanted to go to a festival and my expectations for Hackney Weekend were not festival-like because it's not something like Glastonbury or Reading, but .. this.. this was so festival like! You could sit down on the grass while listening to your favourite artist perform, eat burgers and chips dance and sing with strangers. Even though you could do most of that at a normal concert, it's  different when it's outside! It has definitely made me want to go to a proper festival; somewhere far so I have to travel from afar, I think it's better that way!

They had every kind of food place you could think of, even Ben and Jerry's. We also saw Mark Wright, but he was a bit far for us lazy girls to walk over to (regret it now *sad face*)

So when we arrived the queue was long so we had to wait and there were like 3/4 stops before going into the main bit of the place, but the staff were doing such a good job we didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes to get into it.

When we got there we went straight to the main stage and we were right near the front. After a couple of hours, we watched Leona Lewis (joined by Wretch 32), Rizzle Kicks, (who I wasn't so fond of before, but after seeing them perform, I realised that they're funny and really good when performing)

Example, (who I still can't believe I saw, I'm so grateful)
Ed Sheeran and Nicki Minaj. I was all happy, but when Nicki came on everything went crazy and I'm not talking about the good kind! People were pushing, trying to get to the front, arguing.. it was so bad. I couldn't even enjoy myself when Nicki was on stage. After seeing Nicki me and Vanese decided to go around and see what was going down at the other stages/tents. So we went to some tents and the tents were so much better than the main stage. The lights down, people getting crazy (and yes, the good kind!!) it was so awesome!
We watched Lostprohets perform a song and then we continued our journey around, went to another tent and went into another one just in time for Flo Rida. I can't even explain how fun it was. I'm not really a massive fan of Flo Rida, but he had the best set list ever. All his songs are dance-y and jdkjfnsdf. Everyone was dancing and jumping and having a real good time.

OOTD - Blog takeover by Jenni :)

Primarily Primark - with a hint of H&M

Hey I'm Jenni from Bows Bangles & Bakes crashing in and taking over Ally's blog! (It's ok you don't have to put up with me for long, just the one post! Ok deal? Great!)

Anyway, this entire outfit, aside from the pink scarf, which is from H&M, is from Primark, accesories, shoes sunglasses, the lot! It was completely, unintentionally, put together but there you go! When you shop in Primark as often as I do it's bound to happen! The little boat necklace is one of my favourite necklaces right now, as it goes with so much of my wardrobe being both nautical and coral pink, which are two of my favourite styles/colours.

I can't remember the exact prices of everything now, but I think the most expensive thing was probably the scarf! It has lacy panels at the bottom, and I just cannot get enough of dusky pink right now!

This is typical of the kinds of OOTD posts, I do on my blog, although I do glam it up now and again too! Now if you're anything like me your probably a bit of a nosey parker (I think its like a blogger requirement to want to know everything about everyone else!) and Ally antcipating this asked me a few questions so here goes:-

What is your name?

Where are you from?
Derbyshire - East Midlands

Name of your blog?

A random fact?
I have a line of beauty spots down my hand which looks like Orions Belt (the constellation)

What does your blog consist of?
A bit of everything really, fashion posts - including outfits, style posts, hauls etc; beauty psots - reviews, face of the day posts, and my beauty regime; al topped off with the odd baking and recipe posts, and who knows what else! Its the lucky dip of the blogging world!

What made you start a blog?
I was doing research for my wedding and came across various blogs as part of that and it went from there really! I got more and more into reading blogs and decided I wanted to do my own, and here I am!

What do you like most about blogging?
The community - the lovely people I've got talking to and go to know through blogging - I hope to meet many of them one day.

How would you describe your fashion style?
Gosh! I hate these sorts of questions as I don't think I have any style whatsoever! Ha! I wear what I feel comfortable and what I think looks nice. Obviously I'm influenced by what I see and can buy in the shops but other than that thats where it ends style wise really!

Who inspires you, fashion wise?
Definately street style. I can spend hours people watching and sometimes find myself staring at people when I really like their look (this has led to a few uncomfortable moments believe me!) I don't intsantly go home and copy them, but I like to take elements of what I see and infuse it into my wardrobe.

What one piece of clothing or accessory are you excited to wear this summer?
I've finally bought a dipped hem skirt! I'm saving it for my holiday but I keep trying it on - alot! That and my maxi skirt.

In the next year what changes would you like to see on your blog?
I know what changes I'm going to see! I've got a lot of design work going on behind the scenes (not done by me I hasten to add!) and I can't wait to share it will you all!!

Advice for people who want to start a blog or new bloggers?
Seriously just go with it. Don't worry about finding a niche - your blog is an extension of you so do what feels right. If your passionate about what your writing about, it shoes in your posts, rather than just writing something to fit a certain market.

I need YOUR help

Hello all so I've had an idea for my blog and I can't do it without the help of people! Hahaha, every month I want someone to do a "OOTD - Takeover" (With questions!) Where different people, each month do an OOTD post on my blog. (I will do TWO a month!) I will also ask you questions about yourself and your blog, so my followers and different people can get to know you and you will be able to show your style and promote your blog at the same time :)

If you're interested please do comment? :D

I Want.

Hello, so as soon as I finished my last post Polyvore decided it wanted to finally work for me!

Most things on here I had seen on Becca's blog and I just had to put my favourite things into a post.

I'm really fallen in love with leather pleated skirts. I think they're just great and there's so many different ways to style them. And crosses, I'm obsessed. I own 1 thing that has a cross on it. (I know, I should be ashamed!) I'm going to try and get more things, because crosses are beautiful :)

I'm really not sure why it doesn't show, I'm so sorry. But click the white square above this and it will take you to my polyvore and show you!

There's a limit to your love...

This was actually meant to be an "I want" post , but Polyvore isn't working for me *cries* So I've decided to share a song that I am absolutely head over heels for. I heard this song yesterday on a music channel and completely fell in love.

The song is called "Limit To Your Love" and it's by James Blake. I've never even heard of him before, but I'm so glad I came across this song. I love how simple it is and all the echos and harmonies just m make it sound so wonderful. The song is beautiful.

What do you think of this song?  xx
