Contrast

As I mentioned before in my previous post, at the Popcouture we got to tag an item and have it!
I tagged this beautiful jacket. I received it yesterday and it came in the most beautiful packaging.
It came in this cute silver tote bag!

It's fair to say that I've fallen in love. I love the contrasting tweed sleeves, it's such a nice touch to the jacket.
This is a nice jacket to wear all year around. In summer when you're staying out late and the sun goes to sleep and it starts to get a bit chilly, throw this on. In winter it's always too cold, a couple of layers with this on top - perfecto! I'm really happy with this jacket, it's stylish. Everything I want in a jacket!
And this is another thing to cross off of my Wishlist, so thank you PopCouture! ♥

Nude Beige

This lovely nail polish came free in More magazine. I've always refused to buy a Models Own
nail polish because £5 is just too much for me, but I realised that it's really worth the price and
plus, it's much bigger than most nail polishes. I love this colour, it's nothing like any other colour
I have. These pictures aren't the best, they don't show what it properly looks like, but the colour
looks really lovely and give my nails a natural look.

When your lips touch mine, it's the Kiss Of Life.
Rimmel London - Kate Moss Collection : Review.

Recently I purchased the "110" and "111 - Kiss Of Life" lipsticks
from the new Kate Moss Rimmel collection.

I really liked this one when I first got it, but it has its flaws..
It's a nice nude, coral-orange colour, but it's not pigmented enough. I find it to be very .. how I would
describe as "bitty" and it's not a good look, but it's still bearable. Sometimes it can make my lips look over the top so I would wear it for a special occasion because I'm not sure how to "dress down" a lipstick!
But it's such a lovely colour and I'm glad I purchased it, I guess I need to experiment with it.
See what I did in the title, eh? ;)
I remember thinking "I don't need a new red lipstick, I already have a red lipstick"
Before I had a red lipstick from Collection in Ruby Red and it was the only lipstick I would wear.
The other week was my Uncle's wedding and I wore my red lipstick. Nearly everyone wanted to use it.
I was fine with it, but then my mum used it and kept it.. and kept it for longer than she should have. I didn't see that lipstick for like a week and by the time she offered it back to me, I didn't want it because it wasn't in the condition as it was when it was only me that had used it!
So I decided that buying a new red lipstick was alright. (Any excuse to spend money!)

(I'm sorry the lighting doesn't really capture the redness)
I didn't realise that there was a whole different world out there. No two red lipsticks are the same.
I'm so in love with this lipstick. With my Ruby Red lipstick I found that the lipstick was very messy.
Going over my lip line and always going on my teeth (I know most lipsticks do, but this was on a whole different level!) but "Kiss Of Life" is so amazing. It doesn't go on my teeth, it doesn't create mess.
It's just great. It's a really nice red, it never looks too much. It's everything I want in a lipstick.

Pop Couture Christmas event

Yesterday I attended the Pop Couture event, which was hosted by PunkPr with Shekinah, Vanese and Ellie.
It was their first ever event and it was held in Neo Barbican in London.

Here are some photos from the event

Laugh until we think we'll die, barefoot on a summer night.
Never could be sweeter than with you.

I wore this to college today, hence the good quality pictures!
I saw this jumper in Primark it was reduced from £12 to £5. I haven't shown that much of it, but the sleeves are a different patten than the front. It's a cute jumper. I didn't like how the jumper looked on me by itself, so I thought it would look nice with my Skater Skirt.

I am in love with this coat that I bought yesterday in a charity shop for £6. Such a bargain.
It's really comfortable and it's really clean! I plan on keeping it like that, but having a cat that malts like crazy doesn't help, but I do have a lint roller so that's quite helpful!

Lastly, this bag. This bag. I wasn't too keen on it, but I looked at it today and I realised how beautiful it is.
I love the many buckle's and the straps on it. I seriously needed a new bag. I carry around tiny bags that can only fit my little things in, but this has lots of little pockets inside and out so I put all the things I want to carry with me, with me!

I'm going to wear this outfit to the Bloggers Popcouture event on Thursday. Are any of you going?

I'm forever sorry about the awkward positions in this post, but me and Vanese thought we'd be awesome and take them whilst in college and were on the great quality macs haha.

OOTD - I’m wasted, losing time. I’m a foolish, fragile spine.

On Saturday me & some others went to Wagamama's and this is what I wore.
I cannot stop wearing this cardigan. I've been wearing it every. single. day. I regret nothing!
I love black & white's with browns, I'm not sure what it is about that colour scheme, but it's my favourite.
Cardi, Shirt, Ring - Primark
Skirt - Amazon

Wagamama's was amazing, totally worth all these years of waiting!
I ordered a "Yasai Katsu Curry" which consists of "Sweet potato, aubergine & butternut
squash deep-fried in Panko breadcrumbs, served with a curry sauce and sticky white rice.
Garnished with dressed mixed leaves and red pickles" mmm. My meal came to £8.45, that is an amazing price! A tip if you ever go to Wagamama's is that the Green Tea is free!
We all ordered Green Tea and tap water, free drinks!

I've had such a lovely weekend.
I'm excited for this week; going to a bloggers event and catching up with some old friends.
I can't wait! ♥

The sun'll come out tomorrow...

You know those days where you just feel so miserable?
 Maybe there's a reason, maybe there's not.
I was feeling like this yesterday. I hated it.
It came to mind that I should do a post on things that make me happy when I'm sad.

Listening to music
I'm sure this is everyone's remedy for either
1- depressing yourself even more  or 2 - Cheering yourself up!
I'm one for listening to depressing music, resulting in me being even more depressed than I originally was.
I'm not sure why us humans do that? What do we expect out of it?
I do actually find that listening to songs that explain what you're feeling help so much.

I listened to "Put Your Records On" by Corrine Bailey Rae today and it really cheered me up.
The song isn't too "happy" it's nice and smooth (like her voice) and very relaxing.
Great song to lighten your mood.

Reading a book
I may not do it as often as I would like to, but I bloody love reading.
I think grabbing a book and being in a different life for a while is the best.
It's a good way to take your mind off of things.
You can get away from reality for a while and live another other life.

I found this quote on Tumblr and I thought it was too beautiful to not share

"I love books. I like that the moment I open and sink into it,
I can escape from the world, into a story that is way more interesting than mine will ever be."

Memories

Looking back on old videos and photographs make me seriously happy.
Like listening to music, it can probably either depress or cheer you up.
I always create as much memories as possible; videos, photo diaries, everything.
I love looking back on things and creating memories. I always feel a sense or nostalgia though (obviously)
it makes me happy to know that there are good and bad days. No matter how terrible I'm feeling at that precise moment, there will be better days to come.

I want to create a scrapbook.
I want to put all things that I can look back and laugh at in it.

Smiling
Wether I'm smiling for the sake of smiling or someone's made me smile, I always try and smile!
I read somewhere that smiling in the morning can lighten up your mood, I doubt this is a fact of life, but I don't care, I still attempt it. Just one smile when I wake up does make me feel better.

Those are the things I do to keep myself happy.

Do tell me what you do to lighten your mood?
I'd love to know!

Pick Of The Week - Jersey Skater Skirts #3

The other day I ordered two skater skirts from Amazon.
One in Wine and one in black.
They came two days ago, but I was at college and no one was home so I had to wait a whole 24 hours.
*Sigh* but when I got home yesterday they were here!
(Do excuse my silly self, moving - the self timer stopped but didn't take the picture, then when
I moved to see why it wasn't working, it took the picture!)
At first I wasn't so keen on the jersey material, but I actually really like it.
It's quite thick, so with tights these will be very comfortable.
It comes with a brown belt, they're not like those break-easy ones, they're actually really good belts.
I love the fit of these skirts and I love how the pleats are wavy.
I think I will have a lot of fun with these two.
