The sun'll come out tomorrow...


 You know those days where you just feel so miserable?
 Maybe there's a reason, maybe there's not.
I was feeling like this yesterday. I hated it.
It came to mind that I should do a post on things that make me happy when I'm sad.

Listening to music
I'm sure this is everyone's remedy for either
1- depressing yourself even more  or 2 - Cheering yourself up!
I'm one for listening to depressing music, resulting in me being even more depressed than I originally was.
 I'm not sure why us humans do that? What do we expect out of it?
I do actually find that listening to songs that explain what you're feeling help so much.

I listened to "Put Your Records On" by Corrine Bailey Rae today and it really cheered me up.
The song isn't too "happy" it's nice and smooth (like her voice) and very relaxing.
Great song to lighten your mood.

Reading a book
I may not do it as often as I would like to, but I bloody love reading.
I think grabbing a book and being in a different life for a while is the best.
It's a good way to take your mind off of things.
You can get away from reality for a while and live another other life.

I found this quote on Tumblr and I thought it was too beautiful to not share

Memories

Looking back on old videos and photographs make me seriously happy.
Like listening to music, it can probably either depress or cheer you up.
I always create as much memories as possible; videos, photo diaries, everything.
I love looking back on things and creating memories. I always feel a sense or nostalgia though (obviously)
it makes me happy to know that there are good and bad days. No matter how terrible I'm feeling at that precise moment, there will be better days to come.

I want to create a scrapbook.
I want to put all things that I can look back and laugh at in it.

Smiling
Wether I'm smiling for the sake of smiling or someone's made me smile, I always try and smile!
I read somewhere that smiling in the morning can lighten up your mood, I doubt this is a fact of life, but I don't care, I still attempt it. Just one smile when I wake up does make me feel better.

Those are the things I do to keep myself happy.
