Review | Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet - Pink Pong

Bourjois - Pink Pong (£8.99)

I've been going a bit crazy on the Boots and Superdrug 3 for 2 offers these past couple of days.. it's pure evil! A few weeks ago my friend was searching for a new lipstick and came across the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet collection and purchased one in 'Ole Flamingo'. It looked so nice on her that I decided I needed it too. I tried it on and realised it looked almost exactly the same as my Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquer in 'Apocalyptic' so instead I picked up Pink Pong and well.. here we are today!

For me, if it's not matte, it's not going on my lips. When first trying on Pink Pong, I wasn't very pleased as it was shiny and very pigmented. After a couple of seconds it dried up and became this amazing, bold, matte pinky/purple colour and instantly became one of my all time favourite lip products! (The pictures aren't even close to how amazing it looks)

Bourjois say they leave lips feeling "smooth" and "soft as velvet" which I half agree with as they have these effects but can feel a tad sticky when rubbing lips together. They also claim to last for 24 hours without needing constant touch-ups which I'd completely agree with. Whilst wearing this I had a meal and didn't even need to re-apply after. One major downfall to lipstick is when it gets on your teeth but I've not had this problem with this lip lacquer, it's so  incredibly matte and not at all drying so it'll be perfect for summer.

I've had some lovely comments on this already and will definitely be purchasing more. I do wish they had more colours in this range though as it's basically what I've been searching for my whole life!

OOTD | The Kimono

Kimono - Clothesminded* | Vest - Primark | Belt - Charity Shop | Skirt - Amazon | Rings - Waiste & H&M

Hey all, it's good to be blogging again. These last few weeks of college have been stressful and the last remaining weeks are crucial, it's nearly over now and I'm so excited to just relax for the rest of the summer.

I will be collaborating with one of my favourite online stores, Clothesminded and reviewing some goodie goodies! First, I was sent this beautiful abstract kimono, it's been such a life saver for the hot days we've been having recently. I have a thing about cardigans, coats and all that coming up higher than my waist, I have to have them longer or I won't like it, so it was such a thrill so see this one being the perfect length, it's also super lightweight, good quality and not too sheer. I styled it with just some basic black items and popped on a few rings for that festival-y vibe. This kimono is only £5 on the clothesminded site, all their kimonos are £2-£5 and go back to £10 this coming monday! What a great way to kick off the summer.

What clothing item will be your summer essential this year?
