OOTD | STRIPES*

Top -  Topshop | Skirt - Tesco | Hat - Primark | Shoes - Topshop | Nails - Collection

Hello there, it's been months since my last outfit post so writing this feels so new to me! Although I've been spending most of my time in my room, I've still been loving the hot weather we've been having recently. On a trip to Morrissons me and Vanese thought we'd take advantage of the sun and have a lil impromptu outfit shoot!

Stripes are slowly starting to take over my wardrobe and I'm pretty much loving it. They're so great for hot days when you want to spice up an outfit without putting in too much effort. I saw this top in Topshop a couple of weeks back but couldn't afford it, luckily it's been put in the sale and only for £8! If I owned one, I probably would've styled this with a long mustard skirt, but instead I have my lemon nails from collection cosmetics. These shoes have never been featured on this blog but I got them back in October and have worn them to death (Like literally, the sole is non-exsistent!). Lastly, I've been enjoying wearing this hat that I purchased from Primark about a year ago. Its so easy to throw on when I'm having a bad hair day (which is most days!) or when in a rush. I'm all about these summer sales, I like the Topshop and ASOS sales and all the offers on Fashionbeans.com.

OOTD | All In The Value

Coat - Matalan | Blouse - H&M | Skirt - Tesco Clothing | Boots - TK Maxx | Bag - River Island

A couple of days ago me and Vanese were popping in to town and the sun decided to join us.. of course we had to take full advantage of this and find a nice spot to take outfit pictures at. I settled on this wooden gate, it makes a nice change from my white background!

I bought this coat a couple of months ago at a bargain of £10 but have never worn it, I don't like to wear coats are shorter than my skirt - (also the neckline on it is so awkwardly scooped, it irritates me) but it's 2015 now and I've got to start wearing what I buy! I have fallen in love with this H&M blouse, I'm surprised I've not damaged it anyway yet, I've worn it so much! It goes with pretty much every lipstick and well.. that's all I've ever wanted in life! Finished the outfit off with my trust River Island bag, you can never go wrong with black and gold!

WISHLIST | Nº.13

Wishlist Nº.01

[1] - Trench Coat
I never really understood the hype about trench coats until I saw someone the other day rocking a beige one, it was so beautiful and now I'm on the hunt for one! I came across this black one from Topshop and love how it can make such a simple outfit look so amazing.

[2] - Wall Decor
Inspired by Sammi from BeautyCrush, I saw in her haul she had purchased some of these and put them in frames, I thought this one was a nice and a very inspirational one that would look great nearly anywhere around the house! (Maybe not the bathroom!)

[3] - Striped Top
I may have a slight obsession with stripes but I don't care, they are beautiful and I will never stop loving them! I love a good high/polo neck and short sleeves so this one is kind of perfect.

[4] - Duster Coat
I've also had a thing for Duster Coats recently, I love the colour of this one and think it would even go well with the striped top. Would be such a great statement for spring/summer time!

[5] - V-Neck Top
As soon as I saw this it reminded me of something Beyonce would wear in the 7/11 video. I love the stripes and the fact that it's a V-Neck. Would look amazing with a pair of high-waisted trousers.

[6] - Heeled Sandals*
Another Sammi-inspired item. I watched her Dubai vlog the other day and fell in love with her Zara shoes which had cut outs, I came across these pair and thought they looked kind of perfect. Once again I think this would go so well with the striped top and duster coat!

Happy Birthday POBA & My goal for Lent!

Happy birthday PerksofBeingAlly, you are three today!

I probably shouldn't be dedicating a post to my blogs birthday as I've gone on about 138484 hiatus' since it turned two! But it's my blog and I can post whenever and however I want! Although I've not blogged as much as I hoped I would in the last year, when I have, I have absolutely loved it. It's my little place on the internet where I can write about things I like, share what I'm wearing or just talk about how I'm feeling. It's going to be great being 60 and reading everything back! My life would be completely different right now had I not started this blog three years ago, so cheers to three years!

As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm quite the pessimist. I constantly think about what's going wrong, how it's going to get worse and how I'm never going to feel happier. I will be turning twenty in four weeks and I don't want to stay how I am. I know how I want to be and what things I want to do, but I pick out the cons and force myself into thinking I can't do anything I desire to. I don't want to be that person that looks at everyone else and feels jealous, thinking "I wish I could do that" I'm too young and also too old for excuses. I might not live to the next February 26th and I don't intend on leaving feeling incomplete!

Recently I've been feeling happier (I don't care about jinxing that, I'm not going to feel happy forever so I'm appreciating it while I can!) I've been busy and changing things in order to keep myself happy without caring what others will think. I'm not religious but I do love taking part in Lent, so this year my goal for Lent is to continue thinking and being positive. I will start doing things that genuinely make me happy and see how I can change my attitude towards any negativity.

What are your goals for lent?

MUSIC | Playlist Nº.01

Hey! I've attempted to do music related posts on my blog quite a few times but always seem to fail the simple task of continuously posting them on a monthly basis, so here I am, trying again for 2015.

I recently discovered a website called 8tracks, a site full of playlists that consist of at least 8 tracks. I honestly didn't think there were a better music streaming site than Spotify, until now! For the past week I've been losing myself in different playlists, discovering new artists and absolutely loving it. (My favourite is the chill section) Listening to all these new songs inspired me to make a playlist for January, compiled of all the songs I've been playing non-stop and my flatmates probably can't stand! So have a listen, tell me what you think and if you've got an account, follow me - allyretro!

(You can press play without a new window opening or you having to have an account to listen, 8tracks is too cool for that)
